Vienna, July 1914. In an abundantly ornamented office, two entrepreneurs – Wilhelm Arnheim and Izaack Goldstein – sign a trade agreement. When the signatures has already been put, Arnheim gives a friendly advice not to sail the ships purchased as they are best when in a dry dock. In exchange, Goldstein suggests that the tinned food just purchased is not eaten as they are best when in the storehouse.
