Wear Longer, Watch Longer
Fashion and film are the most democratic forms of self-expression. Both operate on emotions. Always at the forefront of global changes, they have an immense influence on culture and society. The Festival in Gdynia proves just that. This edition joins other “green festivals” and promotes pro-environmental choices in the industry. An indispensable part of every festival, the red carpet is a presentation of celebrities and their fashion and an opportunity to communicate pressing social and environmental issues. Many guests of the most prestigious events in the world choose vintage dresses or repeat their past looks. Such an attitude used to be a faux pas, but today, it gains more and more recognition in the industry and among fans. This year, Electrolux, a company promoting the idea of circularity – a manifestation of wisdom and responsibility for our planet, becomes a partner of the Festival in Gdynia. Electrolux inspires stars and guests of the biggest celebration of Polish cinema to choose their looks with the environment in mind and opens Circular Electrolux Showroom. There, Festival guests can rent clothes for the red carpet, Closing Ceremony and accompanying events. The showroom boasts unique vintage garments selected by a team of stylists and costume designers. Electrolux is also a patron of the out-of-competition section Pure Classics with digitally restored masterpieces of Polish cine[1]ma, the films we all need to know and save in the best condition possible for as long as we can for the future generations to see. Additionally, in Grunwaldzki Square, Electrolux joins forces with Ubrania do Oddania and opens Wear Longer Zone. There, you can find vintage clothes, including collectables from the 1980s. The zone’s design is a treat in itself, with looks inspired by the characters from the films in the Pure Classics section put together with clothes from the e-boutique Wear Longer. Electrolux is a company from eco-forward Sweden. Caring for the planet is written into our global strategy. We are glad that hand-in-hand with the PFF in Gdynia, by combining fashion with film, we can encourage you to wear longer and watch longer.
We wish you beautiful festival emotions!
