Producer
The Pomeranian Film Foundation in Gdynia was established in 2005. Since its beginnings, it has focused on projects promoting Polish cinema both domestically and internationally. It is the organiser of the Polish Film Festival. It has also served as the producer of thirteen editions of the Kinopolis Polish Film Festival in Dublin and has been partner in numerous other film initiatives.
Since 2010, the Foundation has extended its educational activities to include running the Gdynia Film School, where young adepts of filmmaking can gain complex knowledge and practical skills crucial to the work of a film director.
However, the Gdynia Film School is not the only initiative which aims to educate future filmmakers and cinema enthusiasts. For years, the Foundation has been carrying out acclaimed projects, such as Film Thoughts. Cinema lessons, Pomeranian Film Workshops, Film Music Composition Workshops, Review of Amateur Student Films “Albatrosy”, Cinema Holidays, KINOferie and an educational project addressed to the youngest audience – Cartoon in the Centre, which introduces children to the world of the art of filmmaking since the youngest age.
Since 2020, the education offer of the Foundation has been extended to include the virtual versions of projects, which allows to educate children and young adults at their homes and schools.
