Krzysztof Skonieczny

Krzysztof Skonieczny is a film and theatre director, screenwriter, producer, author of music videos, cinematographer, actor, rapper and founder of głębokiOFF, an artistic conglomerate and independent producing company, who is interested in interdisciplinary approach to art. His original series for HBO, Blinded by the Lights, received many special mentions and was included in Variety’s list of ‘Best International TV Series of 2018’. Skonieczny’s independent feature-length debut, Hardkor Disko, found its way to dozens of film festivals, winning numerous awards, while its maker was selected for the Summer Filmmakers Academy at the 67th Locarno IFF. As an actor he played in films by such directors as Andrzej Wajda and Agnieszka Holland. Skonieczny directs theatre plays, short films and documentaries, and internationally acclaimed music videos. He runs an audiovisual project, TEKTONIKA, that he tours and releases and album with. In 2024 he became a Bergman Center scholarship holder on the Swedish island of Fårö.
