I’m Burning!
The ghost of nobleman Pogorzelski appears to a writer to tell his story. When Pogorzelski was alive, he moved into the dilapidated Samsonów Castle, owned by a bishop, to renovate it. His work was disturbed by the ghost of the previous owner — Zatorski, who repeatedly exclaimed: ‘You’re doing your duty, Mister Pogorzelski — and I’m burning!’ The bishop performed an exorcism in the castle, but to no avail. Tormented, Pogorzelski died, but even death did not free him from his tormentor. As he tells his story, Zatorski’s ghost cries out once again: ‘I’m burning!’
