Agata Kozieranska-Burda appointed Director of the Polish Film Festival
Marta Cienkowska, Minister of Culture and National Heritage, has appointed Agata Kozierańska-Burda as Director of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. Her four-year term will begin on 1st January 2026.
Agata Kozierańska-Burda is a cultural manager. She is a Board Member and Managing Director of the Pomeranian Film Foundation in Gdynia, the producer of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, with which she has been associated for nearly 20 years. Until 2025, she was the Head of the PFF’s Office and served as its Director during the 50th edition. In 2021, she actively participated in the application process for the city of Gdynia for the title of UNESCO City of Film. In 2022, she received the Gdynia Mayor’s Award in the field of culture, the Gdynia Galion, in the category of cultural animation. She is a graduate of the University of Gdańsk in management and the Warsaw School of Economics in cultural management. She is a Director of the Trefl Foundation, where she implements film and educational cultural projects and is responsible for the activities of the Gdynia Animation Centre and the “Bridge Street” Playing Cards Museum. She is the initiator of the Pomeranian Creative Cluster. She is also a member of the Gdynia Cultural Council, which aims to support the development and cultural policy of the city of Gdynia.
