Agata Kozieranska-Burda appointed as the director of the PFF Rafał Rogulski
Marta Cienkowska, Minister of Culture and National Heritage, has appointed Agata Kozierańska-Burda as director of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. Her four-year term will begin on January 1, 2026.
Agata Kozierańska-Burda is a cultural manager. She is a Board Member and Managing Director of the Pomeranian Film Foundation in Gdynia, the producer of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, with which she has been associated for nearly 20 years. Until 2025, she was the Head of the PFF’s Festival Office and served as its Director during the 50th edition. In 2021, she actively participated in the application process for the city of Gdynia for the title of “UNESCO City of Film.” In 2022, she received the Artistic Award of the Mayor of Gdynia “Galion Gdyński” in the category of cultural animation. She graduated from the University of Gdańsk, majoring in management, and the Warsaw School of Economics, majoring in cultural management. She is a Director of the Trefl Foundation, where she implements film and educational cultural projects and is responsible for the activities of the Gdynia Animation Center and the “Bridge Street” Playing Card Museum. She initiated the foundation of the Pomeranian Creative Cluster. She is also a member of the Gdynia Cultural Council, which aims to support the development and cultural policy of the city of Gdynia.
