Changes at the Pomeranian Film Foundation in Gdynia

There have been many significant changes in the structure of the Pomeranian Film Foundation in Gdynia and its subordinate entities recently.

Changes in the Management Board

On 27th May 2025, the Supervisory Board of the Pomeranian Film Foundation appointed its new Management Board. Mirosław Morzyk, for many years vice-president of Neptun Film, co-founder and member of the Pomeranian Film Foundation Management Board, and Deputy Director for Technical Issues of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia (PFF), has become the President of the Management Board of the Foundation. The members of the Board are – Jerzy Rados, Director of the Gdynia Film School (GFS) and the Gdynia Film Centre (GFC), and Agata Kozierańska-Burda, Director of the Pomeranian Film Foundation and long-time Manager of the PFF Office.

Polish Film Festival in Gdynia

Grzegorz Łoszewski, President of the Polish Filmmakers Association, has been appointed Chairman of the PFF Organising Committee for 2025–2027.

To honour the achievements of Leszek Kopeć, long-time Director of the Polish Film Festival, who died while serving in his office, the Organising Committee has decided not to appoint a new Festival Director in 2025. Thus, the Management Board of the Pomeranian Film Foundation in Gdynia, in accordance with the provisions of the Rules and Regulations of the 50th Polish Film Festival, has entrusted the duties related to the function of Festival Director to Agata Kozierańska-Burda, Pomeranian Film Foundation Board Member and Director of the Foundation, and long-time Manager of the Festival Office, and delegated her to the work of the Festival Organising Committee.

Gdynia Film School

Jerzy Rados, previously Deputy Director of the Gdynia Film School, has been appointed the Director of the Gdynia Film School.

 

The Pomeranian Film Foundation in Gdynia is the producer of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia and the organiser of the Gdynia Film School.
