The 50th PFF Audience Survey

The 50th PFF Audience Survey

The Pomeranian Film Foundation in Gdynia, together with the Faculty of Human Geography and Planning at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, invites guests and participants of the 50th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia to take part in a survey. The information we collect will help us better tailor the PFF programme and organisation to the needs of our audience.

Since 2018, apart from a two-year pandemic break, the PFF audience survey has been carried out in a manner unprecedented in Poland. Quantitative and qualitative research, conducted through direct surveys, allows the Foundation to get to know its audience better and to adapt the programme, communication, and marketing accordingly. It also provides real insight into the Festival’s impact on local
development, participants’ behaviour and cultural preferences, their consumption choices, and the economic potential of the event.

This year, the research will focus on the relationship between the city, the Festival, and Gdynia residents. The aim of the study is to find out what residents think about the impact of the PFF on everyday life, public spaces, the local economy, culture, and the city’s image. Among other things, we will ask respondents about their knowledge of and participation in the PFF, the influence of the Festival on daily life
and city functioning, the perceived benefits of the event, the visibility of the PFF in urban space, and the importance of its location in Gdynia.
