Verily Hitler is dead
United Europe, on the coast of the Baltic Sea. A thanksgiving celebration is underway, in commemoration of the victory of fascism. To the feast comes the summoner in the form of Berek. But Berek takes many forms. On the seashore appears a boy. Thus begins a hypnotic political tract. In the dungeons haunts the Nazi Madonna. The security service scans the tattooed numbers. Let the trance lead you by its own logic toward recognition, pity and fear. But fear not — it is only a dystopia. Shut ye the doors of the chapel.
The film is the director’s feature debut.
