Housekeeping for Beginners
Dita, her partner Suada and Suada’s two daughters form a colourful family that feels more like a commune than an ordinary home. They share the living space with Toni, his changing partners and three girls seeking refuge. The apparent idyll ends when Suada dies. Dita, independent and never dreaming of children, faces the challenge of looking after Suada’s rebellious daughters. Together, they challenge norms to save the unusual family.

An aimless 28 year-old Brooklynite lands in the hospital after drunkenly breaking her hip being stupid. An encounter with a cranky elderly Polish woman who speaks no English leads to a job caring for her. Neither likes it, but it’s time to grow up.
