Being a teenager is tough. Being a teenager from Israel is even tougher, especially when you’re on a school trip visiting Holocaust memorial sites, and the only thing you can think of in a gas chamber is the girl next to you. Nitzan, Frisch and Ido are growing up. It’s a film about a huge gap between the great tragedies of history and the little dramas of everyday life.

After an eventful journey from Belarus via Poland, Aleksei reaches France and joins the French Foreign Legion. As a soldier, he loses himself in a mad dance to the cacophony of remorse and abandoned dreams.

Robert emigrates to Norway to pay off family debts. He finds a job at a salmon processing plant, where he meets Ivar. To avoid being ostracised, he keeps his fascination with the man secret. When Polish workers go on strike, Robert must choose whether to save his family and become a scab or join Ivar and the protest.
