Stefan, a graduate of medicine, starts his internship in a psychiatric
hospital in September of 1939. He quickly learns the local hierarchy and
the views of his more experienced colleagues, who would like to make
him his apprentice. At the time of the real test, when under the Nazis’
decision, the hospital is to be liquidated, the hero makes his own
choice in an attempt to save at least one human life.
