The story of a steadfast man, an outstanding painter, Władysław Strzemiński, an artist who never gave in to social realism and who experienced the dramatic consequences of his choices.

“Afterimage” is an intimate record of the final years of the life of this pioneer of avant-garde in Poland in the twenties and thirties of 20^th c. A story about how communist authorities destroyed a defiant, charismatic man.
