Maria Dębska
Theatre, television and film actress, pianist. She made her stage debut at Teatr Studio in Warsaw in the play Ripley Under Ground (dir. Radosław Rychcik). Currently she plays at Teatr Polonia in Man and Wife (dir. Krystyna Janda), at Och-Teatr in Something Fishy (dir. Krystyna Janda) and in Król at Teatr Polski (dir. Monika Strzępka). TV viewers could see her performances in TV series such as Powrót, W rytmie serca, Blinded by the Lights, Kuchnia or Osaczony, while cinema audiences know her from films like: Autumn Girl, Playing Hard, Silent Night, These Daughters of Mine, Demon or Bad Luck Good Love. Winner of the Acting Award at the 2016 International Festival of Theatre Schools in Brno, the Grand Prix for outstanding stage presence at the 2016 Festival of Theatre Schools in Lodz, the Golden Mask award for Best Acting Debut and the Best Actress in a Leading Role award at the 2021 Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. As she admits herself, she “feels like only just beginning to gain momentum”.
