Karolina Bielawska

Karolina Bielawska is a director of feature and documentary films, presented and awarded at numerous festivals in Poland and abroad. She graduated in Film Directing from Krzysztof Kieślowski Radio and Television Faculty of the University of Silesia in Katowice and from Wajda School in Warsaw. Her most recent film, Call Me Marianna, won twenty-seven awards at Polish and foreign festivals, including in Krakow, Locarno, Barcelona, Tel Aviv, Los Angeles and Chicago. She is the winner of the 2016 Charles E. Guggenheim Emerging Artist Award. She was nominated for the 2015 Polityka ‘Passport’ in the film category and for the 2017 Eagle award.
