THE GREAT VOLU(NTEERS)
We are going to introduce some of the nearly 200 volunteers, who do their best so that all Festival Guests feel comfortable in Gdynia and participate in this important event without any problems. The first one is Tycjan Naleziński, present at the Festival for the 10th time this year.
Małgorzata Rakowiec: – What are you doing at the Festival?
Tycjan Naleziński: – I satisfy my film fantasies, I’m having fun, and when it comes to duties, I now assist and help during out-of-competition film screenings.
– What was your ‘first time’ at the Festival?
– Very exciting! Everything was new, I didn’t know what to expect. How much work I will have. But everything was great! The management staff was very nice and helpful. I was filled with positive emotions all week long. I’ve met a great colleague Łukasz who supported me in subsequent festival editions. I felt like being a volunteer for longer time.
– What does work at the Festival give you?
– Tremendous satisfaction that I can participate in such a big film event, go behind the scenes, observe the preparations, talk to interesting people and be together with people who share my passion. And also, take a photo with a favourite actor from time to time.
– What would you say to volunteers who are at the festival for the first time this year?
– I envy you! The first time is always very exciting and memorable. Don’t be afraid of challenges and take on every task with a smile and eagerness, and you will definitely find great satisfaction in it. Besides, you have a chance to meet the best volunteers co-ordinator ever.
