Paris, 1835. Frédéric Chopin is twenty-five and a favourite of Parisian salons, aristocrats and the French king. No important event can take place without him there. We see him during his nighttime escapades and concert afterparties. He’s usually bursting with energy and covers his illness with jokes. His life is ebbing away, but Frédéric keeps on running. He creates his greatest masterpieces, sometimes as commissioned works, and teaches piano for financial reasons. Admired by friends, adored by women. However, as time goes by, Frédéric discovers that the most important thing in his life is music.
The 50th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia will take place on 22nd–27th September 2025. The producer of the Festival is the Pomeranian Film Foundation in Gdynia.
