Corneliu Porumboiu

Born in 1975 in Vaslui, graduated from the Academy for Theater and Film in Bucharest in 2003. His film career began with a short film Gone with the Wine (2002) which won a few international festival prizes in Romania and was featured at many festivals abroad. His next short film Trip to the City was equally well received and in 2006 Porumbiou directed his first feature film 12:08 East of Bucharest.
