Leszek Dawid

Director, screenwriter. Graduate of English Philology at the University of Wroclaw and Directing at the Film School in Łódź / PWSFTviT. Author of a number of short documentaries and feature films (i.a. “ My Place” and “A Bar At the Victoria Station”) awarded at numerous festivals. Nominated for the “Polityka” Passport Award in 2004. Scholarship holder and member of Junge Akademie der Kunste in Berlin, scholarship holder of the Andrzej Munk Screenwriting Fund and the Nipkow Foundation in Berlin. Lecturer at the Film School in Łódź. “My Name Is Ki”, his feature film debut, has been awarded in Gdynia, Paris and Cottbus, and had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival as a participant of the prestigious auteur cinema section.
