Coloured stockings

A novella film. Matylda dreams of coloured stockings. They are too costly for her mother so her grandma comes to rescue and knits thick colourful stockings for her granddaughter. Unfortunately, in her new stockings Matylda is laughed at by her girlfriends and her boyfriend stops dating her. Seeing her daughter suffer, her mother tries to help…

A 9-year-old Jadźka comes from a poor family. Her peers joke at her unfashionable clothes and her not quite sharp mind and their malicious remarks are very painful for the sensitive girl. Isolated, Jadźka starts to skip school more and more often and separate herself from her peers.
