“We will not give away even a button,” said many of them. Young, handsome and self-confident. The Polish elite of the early 1940’s, ready to fight for their homeland. They believed in a quick return. Everyone talked about a lightning war which will end after a few days. Bidding farewell to their wives, mothers, sons and sisters, they had no idea it was the last time they see them. They were about to be slaughtered, and their hope for the spring meeting in Warsaw was never meant to be fulfilled…
