The first and the most successful “Avatar” in the history of world cinematography. The peaceful life of the Łabińscys is disturbed by Oktawiusz de Saville. Mad with unfulfilled love for the countess he decides to hatch a plot, together with a mysterious Brahmin, to seduce the reluctant loved one and arrange an exchange of souls. The obstacle to the success of this vile plan is feminine intuition and… the poetry of the national poet-prophet. An adaptation of a 19th-century story by Teofil Gautier and one of the most interesting medium-length TV costume dramas. Interesting performances by Holoubek, Koczeska, Boukołowski and Machulski in the beautiful sets prepared by Tadeusz Wybult filmed by Kurt Weber.
