The master of card-sharping, called Wielki Szu (the Big Shar), is released from prison. He tries to begin a new, honest life in a provincial town but soon he gives in temptation and re-enters a high-rate game. He is accompanied by a young taxi driver, a pupil who gets to know the arcana of card-sharping.

“Wielki Szu” (“Big Shar”) is the cinema hit of 1983.
