The film tells about the story of a mass action against the Polish people organised by the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (Ukraińska Powstańcza Armia, UPA) in Volhynia. In “If We Ever Forgot Them…” we focus on one of the most brutal episodes of the Volhynia massacre – the manslaughter of almost a thousand Poles in Ostrówki and Wola Ostrowiecka. Sikorski’s film casts the last living witnesses of those tragic events.
