1995, Poland. Inspired by actual events, the story of Mariola, an ordinary village woman who needs to confront her little daughters’ death. Not able to come to terms with her loss, she digs up the girls from their grave and starts treating them as if they were alive. Blurring the line between life and death will bring about irreversible consequences.
