Chehnaz, an attractive woman over 30, leads a wealthy life in Istanbul together with her husband Cem. She has just finished an internship as a psychiatrist and she has to work for two years in a hospital in a distant seaside town. A young girl Elmas under shock is referred to her. She has been given as a wife to a distant relative whom she does not actually love. Chehnaz begins a difficult therapy to reach a girl accused of murdering her husband. Their meeting makes both women face their long-hidden problems. A sensual portrait of two women deprived of the right to discover themselves, to love and be loved – in a country torn between modernity and tradition.
