Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo

American writer and film director of Polish descent. She graduated from the Directing Department of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she was honored with the prestigious Wasserman Award for directing. Her debut 30-minute short film Pâté premiered at the Sundance Film Festival attracting widespread critical acclaim. The film went on to win several awards at major international festivals around the world, as well as being showcased at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York and the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. Filmmaker Magazine named Agnieszka as one of ‘ 25 New Faces of Independent Film ’. She was also the focus of a CNN Headline News profile titled ‘ A Director With Promise’ . Agnieszka collaborated with Laurie Anderson on the acclaimed O Composite , a multi-media project based on Czeslaw Milosz’s poem Oda do ptaka. The piece premiered at the Opera Garnier in Paris. She has adapted literary works for the screen, including Joyce Carol Oates’ novel Beasts as well as a sci-fi project for Paramount Pictures. For her feature debut, the psychological thriller After.Life , Agnieszka teamed up with a high-profile, award-winning cast, including Academy Award® Nominee Liam Neeson and Golden Globe® Nominee Christina Ricci. After.Life opened in theaters in the United States and worldwide in 2010. Agnieszka is represented by Jeff Berg at ICM and a member of the Directors Guild of America and Writers Guild of America.
