THEATRE PLAY: FOR WISŁAWA FROM GRAŻYNA
An artistic event starring Grażyna Szapołowska to commemorate the 100th birthday anniversary of Wisława Szymborska. In 2023, Grażyna Szapołowska celebrates a special jubilee. The renowned theatre and film actress has prepared a partspoken-word, part-musical show titled Wisławie – Grażyna, dedicated to the Polish Nobel Prize winner on the 100th anniversary of her birthday, including such poems as Nothing Twice, Portrait of a Woman, and Museum, enriched with recollections of the poet. The show has been written and directed by Katarzyna Jungowska, with music by Karo Glazer, lighting by Jacqueline Sobiszewski, and visual effects by Hektor Werios. Piotr Makarski will accompany Grażyna Szapołowska on stage, and Natalia Lesz will play young Szymborska.
