Interia PFF “Diamond Lion Cubs” Voting
Choose the best Polish film for children and youth! The “Diamond Lion Cubs” Voting for the 20th anniversary of Gdynia for Children section at the 49th Polish Film Festival has just begun.
This year, the Festival Gdynia for Children section, addressed to children and youth, celebrates a special jubilee – 20 years at the Polish Film Festival. Together with Interia website we have prepared a unique contest: you can vote for the best Polish film for children and youth!
The twentieth anniversary of Gdynia for Children section comes at a time when Polish film for young audience entered into a very good period. What was the situation in the past? The “Diamond Lion Cubs” Voting will take us on a journey through the subsequent decades of the history of film for children. This is going to be a colourful and energising expedition, but also a very sentimental journey for many of us. Let’s celebrate together, the Voting is addressed to viewers of all ages – comments Joanna Łapińska, the Artistic Director of PFF.
The voting has been divided into three rounds. The winner will be selected by the users of Interia website. The first round will present 50 films from the entire history of Polish film for young audience – starting from classics to the latest productions. All of them have been screened at the PFF. Voting continues until 31st July. 20 films with the highest number of votes will pass to the second round. At that stage of the Voting, 3 of the twenty selected films will be chosen, and then – at the third round – the winner will be announced from the final three films. The winner will be awarded with the Diamond Lion Cubs and the title of the Best Polish film for children and youth. The award will be presented on 27th September at the Young Gala of the 49th PFF.
