Welcome to the most eco-friendly film festival on the Baltic coast!
This year, not only are we celebrating Polish cinema, but we are doing it in harmony with nature. Find out how you can get involved and leave your mark… but only on the sand, not on our planet.
MEET OUR FESTIVAL’S THREE ECO-HEROES!
In this year’s edition of the Festival, we are supporting three remarkable public benefit organisations that work tirelessly to protect the environment:
- The MARE Foundation fights for the cleanliness and protection of the Baltic Sea through educational activities and initiatives aimed at reducing pollution and protecting marine biodiversity.
- The Pomeranian Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre OSTOJA rescues and rehabilitates wild animals, helping them return to their natural habitats after accidents or illnesses.
- The Workshop for All Beings Association is dedicated to the protection of wildlife and works to preserve natural ecosystems in Poland through environmental education and legal interventions.
The more eco-friendly actions you take, the more Puzzles you collect, and the greater impact you have in supporting your chosen organisation. Simple, enjoyable, and beneficial – for you and for the Earth.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
It’s simple: for every eco-friendly action you take – from riding a festival bike to refilling your water bottle – you’ll receive a Festival Green Puzzle. Collect as many as you can and vote for one of the three environmental organisations, which could win a cash prize from the Festival!

- At the festival bike stations.
WHAT TO DO WITH THE PUZZLE?
Place your Puzzle in the box labelled with the name of your chosen organisation.
The boxes can be found at:
- The reception of the Musical Theatre,
- The reception of the Gdynia Film Centre,
- The ticket office of Helios cinema in the Riviera Shopping Centre.
The organisation with the most votes will receive a financial prize.
Voting will take place throughout the Festival.
The winner will be announced on Sunday, 29th September. The announcement will be made on the Festival’s social media channels.

FREE FESTIVAL BUS RIDE
Join us for cinematic adventures! Our festival buses are free and produce zero emissions. Forget about finding a parking spot; just hop on, ride, and watch films. Zero stress, zero emissions, all good vibes!
FREE KINO POLSKA FESTIVAL BIKES
Want to feel the wind in your hair and show off your eco-warrior side? Hop on a free festival bike! Skip the traffic, boost your fitness, and treat yourself to an extra doughnut – the calories will burn off on their own!
FREE WATER STATIONS – Fill Your Own Bottle
Plastic? No thanks! At the festival, you can refill your reusable bottle with free water. We’ve got it in a few flavours: cold, slightly chilled, and “half-and-half with ice”. But seriously – it’s a simple step towards less waste, more joy!
ONLINE TICKETS – Go Paperless!
Paper? That’s so last century. Buy your tickets online and show them on your phone at the entrance. Of course, the trees will thank you. And who knows, maybe they’ll even send you a little love note?
DIGITAL FESTIVAL CATALOGUE
A ton of paper? Not this time! This year’s festival catalogue fits right in your pocket. Literally. Browse films on your smartphone, without lugging around a heap of paper. After all, who needs a physical catalogue when you can have all the info in digital form? Snap a photo of the posted festival schedules or download the entire catalogue from our website. It’s that simple!
FESTIVAL CHARGERS
Because the most important thing at the festival is… no, not popcorn, but your phone battery! Our festival chargers, powered by renewable energy, will keep your smartphone fully charged – just like you after another screening!
BUY LOCALLY – Fewer Miles, More Flavour!
Make sure your food hasn’t travelled more miles than you! By choosing local products at the festival, you’re supporting local suppliers and reducing emissions. Shorter food journeys = fresher taste and less pollution. Tasty, eco-friendly, and close to home!
ADDITIONAL ECO-FRIENDLY ACTIONS
Show your eco-sense!
Got an eco-instinct? Do something extra and earn additional Leaves! During the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, any eco-friendly action you take around the festival venues and nearby areas can earn you extra votes!
What can you do?
- Waste Sorting: Are you carefully sorting your waste? Show it to staff or volunteers!
- Personal Initiatives: Got ideas for eco-actions, like cleaning or recycling? Document and report them!
- Reusable Items: Are you handing out reusable bags or bottles? Let us know!
How to earn extra Leaves?
- Document your eco-actions – photos, videos, or other proof.
- Show them to volunteers or festival staff at information points.
- Collect extra Leaves for voting!
- Show that ecology is your passion and earn extra Leaves that can help support environmental organisations. Together, we can make a difference!
