The Polish Film Institute Awards Given

The Polish Film Institute Awards are the only Polish awards given for the achievements in popularising and promoting the art film. Since 2008, they have been a special disctinction in the film industry. Candidates for the Polish Film Institute Awards are submitted by cultural institutions, film schools, governmental authorities, non-governmental organisations connected with culture and other entities active in the culture sector. At the 39. Gdynia Film Festival, the Polish Film Institute awarded the best in fourteen categories for a seventh time.
