YOUNG GALA | WINNERS OF THE 49<SUP>TH</SUP> PFF

We know the verdict of the Short Film Competition Jury of the 49th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. During the Young Gala, held on Friday 27th September 2024, the winners of this year’s out-of-competition awards were announced too.

Short Film Competition Jury comprised of:

  • Magdalena Łazarkiewicz – Chairwoman
  • Karolina Bielawska – Jury member
  • Piotr Kmiecik – Jury member

having seen the 29 films qualified for the Short Film Competition, granted the following awards:

Lucjan Bokiniec Award for Best Film in the Short Film Competition Financial award of PLN 15,000
An Orange from Jaffa dir. Mohammed Almughanni

Special Award
Financial award of PLN 10,000
Lament No. 1 dir. Jakub Jakubik

Special Mention
Financial award in the amount of PLN 5,000
Nothing Serious dir. Kamil Czudej

Award for best director of photography
Production support of the value of PLN 10,000 in the form of equipment lease ­­– financed by Heliograf
Mauricio Blas for cinematography in the film Red dir. Sophie Horry

Award for director
For an unobvious film, like no other” on the amount of PLN 15,000 in the form of production support – financed by the Educational Film Studio
