Ania Płonka

Ania Płonka is a visual artist and film director. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and Warsaw Film School. She has created numerous video artworks, the most acclaimed of which are Posen (2017) and I Can’t Stand Myself, But I’m Working On It (2018). She often deals with incongruity and alienation, which is why her protag- onists are mainly people who stand out in a crowd: queer, with mental problems or of low social status.
