Małgorzata Szumowska

One of the most talented Polish contemporary directors. Born in Cracow, 1973. She is a feature and documentary film director, screenwriter and producer. She has received over fifty awards at international and Polish film festivals. She won the Special Jury Prize at the 2008 Locarno IFF. Twice she won the Silver Bear award at the Berlin IFF in 2015 and 2018. Her film Never Gonna Snow Again was Poland’s Oscar candidate.
