Ryszard Maciej Nyczka

Born in 1958 in Stargard Szczeciński. Director and screenwriter and co-producer of independent films. Graduate from the Law and Administration Department of the University of Warsaw (1982), the Film and TV Direction Department of the Lodz Film School (1984), and the Directing Department of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theatre Academy in Warsaw (1993). Directed numerous plays in Wałbrzych, Gdynia, Kielce and Lodz. Realized theatrical plays, documentaries and a satirical TV series for the Polish Television.

2002: Woman With A Parrot On Her Shoulder (The Grand Prix Award in The Independent Cinema Competition at the 27th Polish Film Festival; the Silver Castle at the International Film Festival in Poznan OFF CINEMA, 2002; the Golden Duck for the Best Independent Film of 2002; the Mayor of Słupca Award at Przegląd Filmowy “Prowincjonalia”, 2003); 2003: Siedem przystanków na drodze do Raju (the Silver Castle at International Film Festival in Poznan OFF CINEMA, 2003); 2004: Mało upalne lato; Park Tysiąca Westchnień (the Bronze Castle at the International Film Festival in Poznan OFF CINEMA, 2004).
