Little Friar
The story about friar Alojzy (Piotr Kosiba, 1855-1939), a Franciscan from Wieliczka near Krakow, famous for his goodness and cheerfulness, the caretaker of the poor. His beatification process started in 1963. We meet the friar in the last days of his life when he decides to leave this world to atone for the life of a seriously ill boy. Alojzy says farewell to the earthly life and looks forward to the eternity. Monastic life – uncanny and solitary but always fascinating – here seems ordinary and human.
