Marian Grzyb, a farmer’s son and recent university graduate, returns to Wydmuchowo with a mission: to modernise his village! The residents initially resist, but soon begin to outdo Marian in the art of modernisation. The film boasts an excellent cast led by Marian Opania, Janusz Zaorski’s lively direction, and the fabulous landscapes of Męćmierz on the Vistula River. It’s a masterpiece of humour, in which Edward Redliński’s language unforgettably comes to life.
