Grotesque and caricatural, the film depicts the fate of an unlucky opportunist who tries to please the authorities for over twenty years. All his attempts at ‘welcomed’ metamorphoses fail: Piszczyk remains an anti-hero. His successive ill-considered ‘transformations’ always come too late. The man wants to adapt to the requirements of the current political situation at all costs, but for various reasons, he fails to do so.

Ian, a new spatial orientation instructor, arrives at an eye clinic in Lisbon to give classes to blind patients. However, his unconventional methods raise doubts among the staff.
