Changes in traffic organisation

Road and Green Areas Management in Gdynia informs that owing to the 40th Gdynia Film Festival organised by the City of Gdynia and the Pomeranian Film Foundation the following changes in traffic organisation are to be introduced:

  1. From 9 September until the end of the Festival, in Armii Krajowej street (between Świętojańska and Zawiszy Czarnego streets) no parking will be allowed on both sides of the street.
  2. Between 12 and 20 September, Danuty Baduszkowej street will be closed for vehicle use. Within the dates specified above, two-way traffic will apply in Zawiszy Czarnego and Armii Krajowej streets between the parking and the Musical Theatre.
  3. On 13 September, during the opening of the Gdynia Film Centre, located on Grunwaldzki Square, between 1:45–3:15 pm, vehicles will have no access to the part of Armii Krajowej street between Świętojańska and Karola Olgierda Borchardta (exit possible only through Armii Krajowej street from Józefa Wybickiego/Plac Grunwaldzki).
  4. On 14 September, Monday, 5:30-7:00 pm and 9:45-10:15 pm, owing to the Opening Gala of the Festival and the guests’ walk from Hotel Mercure Gdynia Centre to the Musical Theatre, there will be temporary closures of Armii Krajowej street – from Świętojańska street towards the Seaside Boulevard (exit possible from Józefa Wybickiego through Plac Grunwaldzki to Świętojańska street), Karola Olgierda Borchardta and Zawiszy Czarnego streets (from the intersection of Henryka Sienkiewicza and Franciszka Sędzickiego streets).
  5. The Award Ceremony and Closing of the 40th Gdynia Film Festival will be held on 19 September (Saturday). Therefore, between 2:00–8:30 pm and temporarily after 9:30 pm, the following streets will be closed for vehicle use:
    • Armii Krajowej from Świętojańskiej to Zawiszy Czarnego street (with traffic possible in Józefa Wybickiego and Placu Grunwaldzki);
    • Zawiszy Czarnego;
    • Karola Olgierda Borchardta.

All drivers are requested to take into account the traffic communication changes and comply with orders given by the Police and City Guard officers.
