Looking to the future. The premiere of “Andrzej Wajda. The last romantic of Polish cinema”

The album “Andrzej Wajda. The last romantic of Polish cinema” published by Polish Filmmakers Association not only summarises heritage of one of the greatest Polish directors but also celebrates his passion for life and cinema. We invite to a meeting presenting the book during the 42nd Polish Film Festival in Gdynia – on Thursday, 21st September, at 2.00 pm, in the Gallery/Bookshop of the Gdynia Film Centre.

The starting point are Andrzej Wajda’s words: “If what I leave behind, my films, works, different actions, have any value, they will defend themselves; if they don’t, they will vanish.” Andrzej Wajda’s imaginarium truly is a kaleidoscope of inspirations, anxieties, dreams and myths depicted in classics such as “Kanał” [Sewer], “The Wedding”, “Ashes and Diamonds”.
