PICTURING THE WORLD FOR 75 YEARS. The Polish National Film School in Lodz Anniversary
Lodz Film School graduates have created and continue to create Polish cinema. Their names appear in the closing credits of Polish
and foreign films. They receive awards and honours at festivals and competitions all over the world.
Among the creators of all sixteen films in the Main Competition of the 48th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, there is a significant representation of our graduates and lecturers, including eleven directors, seven screenwriters, sixteen cinematographers, ten editors, ten production managers, seven producers, and fourteen actresses and actors in leading roles.
Among the filmmakers and creators of the four films in the Microbudget Film Competition are eight of our graduates, including a writer and director, an editor, a production manager and a producer, and actors and actresses.
Among all twenty-five films in the Short Film Competition, there are nine films created by our students and produced by the Lodz
Film School.
It’s not just a place on Targowa Street but a genius loci – the sum of experiences, thoughts, emotions, ideas, dreams, creative
struggles, fears and joys, ups and downs of people who have been and still are a part of the School over the years. We dream of evoking that spirit on the Jubilee!
We celebrate, reminisce, watch, get together and keep looking at the world. Look with us!
We would like to invite you to the Lodz Film School’s birthday party during the 48th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia!
BY INVITATION ONLY.
