The 42nd Polish Film Festival Poster

We have the pleasure to present the official poster of this year’s Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. It has been designed by Mariusz Filipowicz.

The poster by Mariusz Filipowicz has been chosen by the members of the Organizing Committee of the 42nd Polish Film Festival.

The author graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where he is a lecturer at the Faculty of Graphic Arts. He deals in graphic arts and photography. He cooperates with many publishing houses and festivals, designing book covers and posters.

Mariusz Filipowicz is the winner of the Rector’s Award at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice of the 2015 International Print Triennal in Krakow as well as the Rector’s Award of the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz at the Polish Print Triennial Katowice 2015. He was the finalist of Bienal del Cartel Bolivia 2017 and of Lahti Poster Triennial 2017.

The artist lives and works in Warsaw but he was born in Gdańsk in 1974. Hence, he is a peer of the Polish Film Festival.

Posters by Mariusz Filipowicz promoted the Gdynia Festival twice already – during the 26th and 34th editions (2001 and 2009).

The 42nd Polish Film Festival will be held from 18th to 23rd September 2017.
