Wajda School at the 39. Gdynia Film Festival

The Wajda School invites you to the first edition of the industry meeting at the Gdynia Film Festival, organised in cooperation with the Gdynia Film School and Film Commission Poland.

Industry meetings are a new initiative aimed at the integration of the representatives of Polish and international film industry that are present at the Festival. With reference to similar events taking place during the Cannes or Berlin Festivals, we want to unite modernity and openness, following the best.

“Project development, production, postproduction, promotion and distribution of a film, this process sometimes lasts years. It is important in whose company we will spend it. Our cocktail is an opportunity to establish and maintain creative business contacts in an informal but often secificall aimed atmosphere and in international surroundings,” declares Katarzyna Ślesicka, the Wajda School Director.

“Thanks to that, we create another platform of meetings and experiences which can make it easier for the Polish filmmakers to strengthen their international position,” adds Tomasz Dąbrowski, the head of Film Commission Poland. The meetings will be a great opportunity to creative networking, meeting the Festival guests from all over the world, as well as having a rest before the evening film screenings. The industry cocktail for the guests invited will take place on Thursday, 18 September.

One day earlier, on Wednesday 17 September, the Gdynia Film School, Wajda School and Film Commission Poland invite to the Film Schools Party which will take place in Coco Cafe Club & Restaurant from 10.00 p.m. For the guests invited, there will be snacks, coffee, tea and drinks.

The partners of the event are: Gdynia Film Festival, Krakow Film Commision, Łódź Film Commission, Mazovia Warsaw Film Commission, DI Factory, Mediakraft, Stock, Coca-Cola and Grolsch.
