Juliusz Machulski
Born in 1955. Director, screenwriter, since 1988 also a film producer. A graduate of the Lodz Film School. In 1984-85 he studied at the Call-Arts (USA). Founder and artistic director of ZEBRA Film Studio. As an actor he performed e.g. in “Personnel” by Krzysztof Kieslowski, “Index” by Janusz Kijowski and “Kill Me, Cop” by Jacek Bromski. He taught directing at Hunter College in New York (1993). Received Wyspianski Award (1985), Chairman of the Cinematography Committee Award (1990), the Minister of Culture and Art Award (1998) and numerous festival awards.
