Jerzy Wójcik

An eminent film operator, director, screenwriter. Co-creator of the “Polish film school”. He worked with the greatests Polish directors of 50’s and 60’s – Jerzy Kawalerowicz, Stanisław Różewicz, Andrzej Munk, and also with Andrzej Wajda, Kazimierz Kutz, Jerzy Hoffman – creating films that still are important part of the history of Polish cinema. Lecturer in PWSFTviT, professor of the film art. Honorary president of the Polish Society of Cinematographers. The winner of many awards, i.a. the “Eagle” – a Polish Film Award for lifetime achievements. Honoured with the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta .
