Przemysław Wojcieszek

Przemysław Wojcieszek – screenwriter, playwright, film and theatre director. He made his directing debut in 1998 with the screenplay of Witold Adamek’s film “Poniedziałek”. The following year he directed and produced (in co-production with TOR Film Production and Canal+) the television film “Zabij ich wszystkich” according to his screenplay. His first feature-length cinema film is “Louder Than Bombs” from 2001, awarded many times, among others, with the Kodak Vision Award For Best Cinematography at the Slamdance Film Festival. In 2004 at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia he was awarded for Best Directing for his film “Down Colourful Hill”. In 2010 his film “Made in Poland” was awarded the Grand Prix of Xth Era New Horizons International Film Festival, the Polish Films Competition. His latest film “Secret” had its premiere at this year’s 62. Berlinale. In the years 2004 – 2008 he worked mainly for the theatre, he directed ten performances based on his own plays.
