Golden Wheel Street
Stanisław Wohl
1971, 1 h 34 minWith utmost commitment, captain Budny tries to solve the case of a mysterious
death of a teenager. Will the militia’s investigation methods prove effective?
What part did the boy’s friends play in this case – Wrocław loafers of Długi
Janek’s gang. Did the drunkard Andrzej Semko and his sexy girlfriend Kasia
Raz Dwa Trzy have anything to do with what had happened? And, last but not
least, will the brave, professional and conscientious captain of the Citizens’
Militia and his son finally get to have their dream meal together?
An array of outstanding actors: Zdzisław Maklakiewicz as Semko, Maciej Englert
as Długi Janek, Jerzy Trela as the laid-back lieutenant Trałat and, on top
of that, minimalistic in his acting, Tadeusz Janczar as Budny, playing a family
duo with his son, Krzysztof Janczar, known from the series “War at Home”,
who plays here the part of captain Budny’s son – an enthusiast of the French
brie cheese.
