Innocent Sorcerers

Innocent Sorcerers

1960, 1 h 23 min

Bazyli – a young sports doctor and a jazzman after-hours – meets Pelagia at a music lounge. During the night they spend together, the two engage in a love game of smoke and mirrors. Their mutual fascination intensifies, and an innocent flirt quickly evolves into an erotic poker. The stakes are high: if the girl loses, she will give herself to Bazyli.

Music for the film was composed by Krzysztof Komeda, one of the most eminent score composers and a pioneer of modern jazz in Poland. Just like Bazyli, the artist loved medicine and jazz, so the score is filled with a whole range of authentic emotions.
