Eighteenth-century reclusive priory in the Smolensk Region. Local nuns and Joan, their prioress, are afflicted with demonic possession. He promises to heal the nun even at the cost of eternal damnation. The film is inspired by a short story by Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz.
