The 41st Gdynia Film Festival Preparations Schedule
We encourage those interested to familiarise themselves with the most important dates of the schedule of preparations for this year’s edition of Gdynia Film Festival.
41st GFF will be held from 19th to 24th September 2016. Films for participation in the Gdynia Film Festival Main Competition and Visions Apart Competition may be submitted until 31st May 2016. Films for participation in the Young Cinema Competition and the Short Film Competition may be submitted until 15th May 2016. The Pomeranian Film Foundation will issue an official communication regarding the submission of films for the 41st GFF in April 2016.
On 15th June 2016, the 41st GFF organisers will close the list of accompanying events.
The sale of accreditation for the 41st GFF will begin on 15th June 2016 at the latest. The online sale of passes will begin on 1st July 2016, and the online sale of tickets – on 5th September 2016.
Gdynia Film Festival is one of the oldest film events specifically devoted to promoting Polish film. Each year, the GFF viewers have the premiere opportunity to get acquainted with the most recent Polish productions. The most interesting Polish films, premieres, debuts and international film festival prize-winners compete to receive Golden Lions Grand Prix, as well as numerous other awards. The Festival includes four competition sections (Main Competition, Visions Apart Competition, Young Cinema Competition and Short Film Competition), numerous non-competition sections, as well as accompanying events. Every year, about 45,000 Polish and international guests: filmmakers, actors, producers, festival programmers as well as countless viewers visit the Festival.
